STRENGTH & CONDITIONINg SPECIALIST

My personal fitness journey started from a young age of always being active and competitive in sports. I soon found volleyball to be my main sport of interest and played it competitively for 10 years with the opportunity to play in Aruba in 2011 for a junior Olympic team.

In 2010 I injured my knee with a complete ACL, MCL and meniscus rupture all in one mighty fall during a volleyball match. After surgery and rehabbing my knee to play the following season, I realized how much I loved and enjoyed the process of rehab and retraining my body to perform at a high level again. This is not to say this was a simple process, but it was through the depression of being temporarily disabled that I learned to appreciate how resilient our bodies are. I wanted to be able to help train and strengthen people so maybe they'd never have to experience this pain and if they did, be able to support them through that painful rehab process.

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. Following graduation I immediately tested for my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification from the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM).

In 2014 I decided to go back to school to receive my Masters of Arts in Kinesiology. In August of 2018 I graduated with my MA in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Psychology from Sonoma State University. I’ve always valued education and have continued to further my expertise in fitness. My certifications include Prenatal and Postnatal, Level 1 Biomechanics from DBC Fitness, group fitness certifications like TRX, Schwinn Cycling and Kettlebells.

I've worked as a trainer in the Napa Valley for just over 9 years and have grown to love this Valley and the people in it. The Napa Valley has such a beautiful understanding of the value of eating things from the earth as well as keeping an active lifestyle. My motivation for being a fitness professional is to inspire people to be the best, the strongest and the most balanced version of themselves they can be. I strive to continue to place performance over aesthetics, and to place being a better functioning human being over all.
