Personal Trainer

I began my fitness journey in 1992, I was the fat kid in school and an easy target for bullying. Weight training was something I could do on my own, and see the results of my work. The older guys in the gym were so welcoming, and willing to teach a young kid the ropes. By the time I graduated high school, I competed in two teenage bodybuilding competitions.

After high school I joined the Army where I was a medic for an engineer battalion. This is where my passion for studying the human body and how it works began. As an Army medic I was able to obtain my EMT-B, and certified as a CPR instructor.

In December of 2003 after my time in the Army, while trying to decide what to do for the rest of my life, I completed my first personal trainer certification and began to train clients. After a short period of time I realized that fitness is where my passion lies, not in the hospital setting. I was in the process of enrolling in school for the medical field, still undecided on which specific field to study. Around this time the school I got my trainer certification from just became a full on university where I could get my degree in Advanced Health and Fitness.

This summer I plan to finish up another degree, this one will be in Exercise Science and Nutrition. I look forward to helping as many people as I possibly can with their health and fitness journey.
